A Tribute To Our Parents.
i think it’s just silly. people need to get their own ideas about parenting. it is a constant effort, you try different things and learn what you like and dont like by your own experiences. i dont understand why some people parent by things they read in books. is it that they dont have a mind for themselves?
I get advice on parenting from my spouse, my parents, my in-laws, my friends, my kids (!), random people at the supermarket, my pediatrician, my kids’ teachers, random people on the internet, and yes, books (particularly ones that have support in actual research; other ones tend to exasperate me). Yes, I have a mind for myself, but I like to get information to go into that mind … and I also don’t like to reinvent the wheel. I appreciate getting factual, research-based information whenever I can, and I take opinions and ideas with a grain of salt. Many come in very handy; others I find simply ridiculous. Yes, I ultimately make up my own mind on how to parent. But I’m not closed to getting ideas from others, either.

So usually if my parents are being ridiculous there are a few ways i try to get around it. First you can try to show them that you are responsible by doing extra things around the house. You can also try to bargain with them for example you could say like if i get a good grade on this test can i have a sleep over? Or the last way is you can act really upset. Also make them feel safe about the situation by telling them they can speak with your friends parents. It really depends on your parents because some parents get furious when their kids argue with them and some parents are really stubborn. Hope this helps.
Its my parents anniversary tomorrow (christmas day) they will be married 15 years. Im going to do a small 2 min video but i want it to be funny but not rude ( at the end of the video i will be serious)

im going to my boyfriends parents house for Christmas. i don’t want to show up with nothing but i also cant afford to get every one in his family gifts. i want to get something that would be for all of them. i was thinking of baking something festive, but i cant think of anything. i need help!
If you run out of time before then and can’t bake them something, try a fruit basket. Pears, apples, oranges, a pineapple, a couple grapefruit. It’s fairly inexpensive, easy, and sure to be appreciated.

Room Tour (parent’s house)

This is a tour of my bedroom at my parent’s house in Louisiana. my parents moved there from Tampa after I graduated High School because of my dad’s job. I only stay here at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and this summer I’ll be there a total of 5 weeks. I go to college in Florida, I’ll be going back to school in August.
